COHI and MSSN-NIJ Host Pre-Ramadan Medical Outreach

The Council of Higher Institutions (COHI) and the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, National Islamic Youth (MSSN-NIJ), held a successful pre-Ramadan medical outreach at the Nigerian Institute in Ogba, Lagos. The outreach catered to 70 beneficiaries, including both Muslim and non-Muslim participants, demonstrating a commitment to community unity and health awareness.

Free basic medical services were provided, including vital checks such as blood pressure measurements, Hepatitis B screenings, random blood sugar tests, and routine health assessments. Participants also received free medical consultations and necessary medications.

Yusuf Sodiq, the Amir of MSSN-NIJ, expressed gratitude to COHI coordinator Abdulqudu Ajenifuja for exemplary leadership and support. The outreach is pledged to become an annual initiative to build a positive legacy and foster relationships among students.

Patricia Kalesanwo, the registrar of the Nigerian Institute, noted the unprecedented nature of this initiative and emphasized its significance in promoting health awareness in the community ahead of Ramadan.
