PDP Mourns Former Chairman Alhaji Bamanga Tukur at 90

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) expressed deep sorrow over the death of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who passed away at the age of 90. Tukur served as the National Chairman of the PDP from 2012 until his resignation in January 2014.

His leadership was marked by significant contributions to the party and the nation during a pivotal time in their political history. Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, National Publicity Secretary of the Wike-backed PDP, praised Tukur as a towering figure in public service and noted his extensive experience in both public administration and the private sector, including roles as President of the Africa Business Roundtable and Chairman of the NEPAD Business Group.

Comrade Ini Ememobong, National Publicity Secretary of the Turaki-led PDP, emphasized Tukur's influence on various sectors of the Nigerian economy, including ports administration and international trade. Tukur's belief in the PDP as a national party capable of addressing Nigeria's challenges was reiterated during a recent interaction.
