Urgent Call for Completion of Mowe-Ofada Road in Ogun

Motorists, commuters, and residents in Ogun State have made an urgent appeal to the Ogun State Government for the completion of the second section of the Mowe-Ofada Road. In interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday, they acknowledged the reconstruction of the first section but emphasized the need for the remaining stretch to be addressed.

The incomplete section has led to significant transportation difficulties, including prolonged delays, frequent vehicle breakdowns, and increased costs for residents, workers, and business owners. Commercial driver Johnson Fadeyi reported that the road's deteriorating condition has reduced his daily trips and increased maintenance costs.

Commuter Bimpe Olaitan highlighted the hardships faced by passengers, especially during peak hours and the rainy season. Transporter Kadiri Bala noted that the damaged road affects the movement of goods and services, impacting local businesses.

Resident Pastor Sunday Famuyiwa called for palliative measures until full reconstruction is completed, expressing confidence in the government's commitment to infrastructure development. They all stressed that timely completion would enhance transportation, promote economic growth, and improve the quality of life for thousands of daily users.
