Residents Demand Urgent Repairs for Ogun State Road

Residents and motorists using the Sango Idiroko Road in Ogun State are calling for urgent repairs from the Ogun State Government due to severe damage that has led to significant traffic congestion and vehicle breakdowns. Azeez Osuolal highlighted the road's deteriorating condition, which has become a major source of hardship for users, particularly during rush hours when travel times have increased from minutes to hours.

Oluwaseun Adeyemi noted that the situation has worsened with the rainy season, as potholes become obscured by water, making navigation hazardous. Residents expressed concerns about security, especially at night when vehicles slow down to avoid potholes, making them vulnerable to criminal activities.

The ongoing construction of a flyover bridge near Ojuor was acknowledged, but residents urged the government not to overlook the urgent need for repairs on the damaged sections of the highway, particularly the Onibuku to Baba Od Goro stretch. Sesan Lawal, a local motorcycle business operator, emphasized the critical need for immediate attention to the road conditions.
