Court Confirms Misa Musa Duli as Adamawa Assembly Member

The Yola court in Adamawa State affirmed the election of Misa Musa Duli as the member representing Gany Constituency during a rerun election, dismissing an appeal filed by Hon. Buba Mohd Joda of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

The court, presided over by Justice Patricia Ajuma Mahmoud, ruled that the appeal lacked merit and upheld the earlier judgment of the electoral tribunal. This decision concluded a protracted legal battle following the death of the former member, Hon.

Abdulmalik Jauro, which necessitated the rerun election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on May 24, 2024. The court also awarded N3 million in favor of the first and second respondents against the appellant, marking a significant victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Misa Musa Duli.
