Court Ruling Validates ADC Leadership, Says David Mark

David Mark, the chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Senate President, commented on the Federal High Court's judgment that affirmed the legitimacy of the ADC's leadership. He described the ruling as a major victory for Nigeria's democracy and a reaffirmation of the country's commitment to the rule of law within its multi-party political system.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his special adviser on media and public affairs, Kola Ologbondiyan, Mark emphasized that the judgment represents an important milestone in Nigeria's democratic journey. He noted that democracy flourishes when political parties can operate without intimidation or undue interference.

Mark commended the judiciary for its courage and impartial commitment to justice, stating that the rule of law triumphs in the face of challenges. He urged ADC members to support the nation in building a stronger, inclusive, and prosperous democracy.

The Federal High Court had earlier dismissed a suit challenging the ADC's leadership and recognized its current leadership structure.
