Nigerian Court Orders Final Forfeiture of Drug Trafficker's Lekki Duplex to Federal Government

The Federal High Court in Lagos State has ordered the final forfeiture of a four-bedroom duplex in Lekki, belonging to a suspected drug baron residing in Canada, for illegal drug activities. The property was used as a base to traffic high-grade cannabis in Nigeria.

The court granted the forfeiture following an application by the NDLEA. This case is part of the government's crackdown on illicit drug activities.

Previously, the Lagos High Court had also granted the forfeiture of assets linked to former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele due to alleged unlawful activities. The EFCC has been active in arresting suspects involved in various crimes, including cryptocurrency fraud.
