Three Suspects Remanded in Ogun State Broadcaster's Murder

A magistrate court in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has ordered the remand of three suspects—Sodeind Olajunwon, Phillip Sobu, and Shakirudeen Ayoola—over the alleged murder of Kitan Oyesiku, a retired broadcaster for Ogun State Television, and security guard Pelumi Adetayo. The court's ruling came after an application from the police, which was supported by an affidavit detailing the circumstances of the case.

The suspects are to remain in custody for 60 days pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions. The police initiated an investigation following the discovery of Oyesiku and Adetayo's bodies in June, which raised suspicions of foul play.

The suspects were arrested after a breakthrough in the investigation, which included the recovery of a stolen vehicle and evidence linking them to the crime. Ogun State Police Command's spokesperson, Bode Ojajuni, assured that justice would be served in the case.
