Ogun Police Arrest Suspects in Ex-OGTV Worker Murder

The Ogun State Police Command arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of Olakitan Oyesiku, a former worker at Ogun State Television (OGTV), on June 20, 2026. The suspects, identified as Sodeind Olajuwon Philip (22), Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola (27), and Sobu Obafunsho (36), were apprehended following a thorough investigation led by Ogun State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni.

The investigation began after Oyesiku was attacked at her residence in Agodo Town, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, where she was overpowered by security guard Pelumi Adetayo (38) and subsequently murdered. The principal suspect, Olajuwon, confessed to the crime, stating that the motive was to "teach a lesson" due to grievances regarding unpaid salaries.

A handwritten note was recovered at the scene, which is undergoing forensic examination. The suspects have been charged in court, and the police are committed to ensuring justice for the heinous crime.
