Nigerian Bishop Jailed Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct in Abakaliki

A popular Bishop, Sam Onyeagoziri Ndubuez, has been sent to jail by a magistrate court in Abakaliki over alleged sexual misconduct with a young woman. The court found him accused of engaging in unlawful sexual acts and sharing explicit materials online.

The magistrate ruled lack of jurisdiction and ordered the Bishop to be remanded in custody pending advice from the Department of Public Prosecution. The case involves multiple charges related to threats, fraud, and circulation of pornographic content.

The prosecution alleges coercion of the victim into sexual activities and emotional distress caused by the Bishop's actions. The matter has been transferred to the State High Court for further legal proceedings.
