Oma Life Rescue Foundation Launches Education Initiative

The Dream Educational Scholarship Project was launched in Abuja by the Oma Life Rescue Foundation, with the goal of educating one million Nigerian children. Dr Omanibe Ameh-Sanusi, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, stated that the initiative aims to provide scholarships, mentorship, leadership development, and other educational opportunities to approximately 100,000 beneficiaries annually.

She emphasized that financial hardship should not prevent brilliant children from accessing education. Dr Bernard Doro, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, acknowledged the foundation's decade-long commitment and linked the rising number of out-of-school children to poverty and socio-economic challenges.

The Federal Government pledged to collaborate with the foundation to identify beneficiaries from vulnerable households. Doro urged the private sector to support the initiative through apprenticeships and internships.

Additionally, the foundation plans to establish the Oma Life Rehabilitation and Wellness Institute in Abuja to offer various support services for vulnerable groups.
