CCAN Elects New Executive Members to Enhance Welfare

The Crime Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CCAN) held elections for new executive members, resulting in Festus Fifen being elected as the new chairman. This election marks the beginning of a new chapter for the association, which aims to prioritize member welfare and uphold the dignity of crime reporting across Nigeria.

The new executive committee includes Oluwakemi Kind as vice chairman, Peter Ireh as general secretary, Vincess Okushi as assistant secretary, Latifa Aremu as treasurer, Gbenga Omokhunu as financial secretary, and Ejik Ejik as welfare secretary. The committee is committed to ensuring transparency and improving the welfare of crime correspondents, stressing the need for respect and recognition within the security sector.
