Ex-Gov's Aide in Cross River Alleges Threats Over Cocoa Reforms

Oscar Ofuka, a former Special Adviser on Cocoa Management Control in Cross River State, raised alarm over alleged threats to his life related to the controversial cocoa reforms championed by ex-governor Ben Ayade. Ofuka claimed he survived an assassination attempt and pointed to suspicious vehicles monitoring his movements.

He accused top security officials in the current administration of orchestrating the threats due to his involvement in the cocoa reform dispute. Ofuka emphasized the need for security measures to ensure his safety amid the escalating tensions surrounding the cocoa plantation reforms.
