Cubana Chief Priest Backs Tinubu for 2027 Elections

Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, spoke on September 7, 2026, regarding the Igbo community's support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid. In his role as the state Director of the City Boy Movement, a political support group aligned with Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda, he addressed APC supporters in Imo State.

He stated that the primary reason for the Igbo community's backing is their newfound access to the presidency through Seyi Tinubu, the president's son. Cubana Chief Priest noted that many residents were enthusiastically registering with the APC, indicating genuine belief in the movement.

He also mentioned relocating back to Imo State to engage personally with supporters, highlighting long registration queues. However, his statements attracted criticism online, with some accusing him of prioritizing personal interests over the welfare of ordinary citizens.
