Nigeria Customs Service Board Confirms New Leadership

The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) confirmed the appointment of one Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Constantine Dim, representing the South-East, and five Assistant Comptroller-Generals: Pascal Chibuoke from the South-East, Sani Yahaya from the North-Central, Franklin Onyeka and Chibuzor Eyakwaire from the South-South, and Ethelbert Nnaji from the South-East. These appointments were made during the Board's 65th Regular Meeting held in Abuja, chaired by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Professor Taiwo Oyedele.

The Board also reviewed the Nigeria Customs Service's revenue performance, reporting that as of June 2026, it had generated N4.30 trillion, which is 36.4% of its annual target of N11.074 trillion. Additionally, the Board approved the upgrade of the Nigeria Customs Service Medical Corps to a sub-department and discussed ongoing recruitment efforts, with documentation and medical screenings set to begin on September 7, 2026.
