Terrorists Kill Two Nigeria Customs Officers in Kebbi

On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, two officers of the Nigeria Customs Service were killed by suspected terrorists in Kebbi State. The attack occurred in broad daylight at two security checkpoints in the Bagudu Local Government Area.

The slain officers were identified as Assistant Superintendent of Customs Bamigboy and Deputy Superintendent of Customs Dom. Bashir Adeniyi, the Comptroller General of Customs, described the incident as deeply painful and noted that the officers were serving on the frontlines of security operations alongside the military.

Adeniyi assured that the deaths of the officers would not weaken the resolve of the Nigeria Customs Service to confront criminal networks operating around Nigeria's borders, highlighting the service's critical role in national security.
