Gunmen Attack in Kebbi: Two Customs Officers Feared Killed

In the early hours of Wednesday, two Customs officers were feared killed in Kebbi State, specifically in the Tuga Community of Bagudu Local Government Area. The attack, attributed to suspected members of the Lakurawa group, occurred around 3 AM when gunmen invaded two security checkpoints.

Sources indicated that the assailants shot at the officers and set the location ablaze, resulting in the officers being burnt alive. Additionally, two officers sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Mustapha Mubarak, the spokesman for the Kebbi State Command, stated that a press release would be issued once full details of the incident were obtained. Bashir Usman, the spokesman for the Nigerian Police in Kebbi State, was not available for comment at the time of the report.
