Nigeria Customs Seize N48.5m Cannabis in Kaduna Interception

The Nigeria Customs Service intercepted cannabis worth N48.5 million in Kaduna, along with other contraband goods valued at N220 million. The operation, conducted by the Federal Operations Unit Zone B, led to the recovery of a significant amount of cannabis and other smuggled items.

The interception, made following credible intelligence, resulted in the arrest of a male suspect found with nine sacks containing compressed blocks of Cannabis Sativa. Additionally, the Customs officers seized three vehicles carrying various smuggled items, including rice, petrol, clothes, spaghetti, used tires, and electric shockers.

The suspect and seized items were handed over to the NDLEA for further investigation and prosecution.
