Nigeria Customs Service Launches Integrity Survey for 2026

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has launched the 2026 Customs Integrity Perception Survey to evaluate the perceptions and experiences of its officers and stakeholders regarding corruption, transparency, and integrity within the Service. This initiative, approved by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, is conducted in collaboration with the World Customs Organisation under its Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion Programme.

The survey commenced on September 28, 2026, and will conclude on October 9, 2026. The NCS aims to gather honest feedback to identify areas for improvement in its operations.

A directive issued to Customs Public Relations Officers emphasized the importance of anonymous participation, encouraging officers to provide candid responses based on their experiences. The survey will be conducted online, with eligible stakeholders receiving one-time passwords to access a separate platform.

A total of 5,000 OTPs have been generated for stakeholder participation, which will be distributed through the Public Relations Unit at various commands.
