Nigeria Customs Service Warns Against Fake Recruitment Scams

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has alerted the public to disregard two fraudulent documents claiming to announce screening schedules for candidates in an ongoing recruitment exercise. The NCS stated that these documents are fake and did not originate from their service.

They emphasized that the false announcements, which include specific screening dates in early June 2026 and details about the recruitment process, should be ignored. The NCS reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and that individuals or groups requesting payment are scammers exploiting the high number of applicants.

The warning comes amid ongoing public interest and frustration regarding the recruitment process for 2024-2025, which includes multiple stages such as application, computer-based testing, and physical screening. The NCS has urged the general public to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information.
