Turaki PDP Faction Condemns Supreme Court Ruling

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by Tanimu Turaki has reacted strongly to a Supreme Court judgment that nullified their convention, which took place in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15-16, 2025. In a statement signed by Ememobong, the faction expressed that the court's ruling poses a significant threat to the party's leadership framework, referring to it as a "dangerous bend." The Supreme Court delivered a split decision on Thursday, with three out of five justices ruling on the appeal filed by the Turaki-led faction.

The statement emphasized the belief that there exists an organizational structure within the party that will be essential for salvaging and conferring leadership moving forward.
