Dangote Cement Unveils Multi-Million Naira Hospital in Kogi

On Friday, Dangote Cement Plc commissioned a multi-million naira hospital in Obajana, Kogi State, as part of its corporate social responsibility program. The commissioning ceremony featured the conferment of traditional chieftaincy titles on several company officials, including Arvind Pathak, the Group Managing Director, who received the title of Mayegun of Obajana Kingdom.

The new cottage hospital is designed to provide comprehensive primary and secondary healthcare services, significantly reducing the burden on residents who previously traveled long distances for medical treatment. The facility includes male, female, and children's wards, private rooms, consultation rooms, and essential medical infrastructure.

Engr. Panjala Sreedhar, the Plant Director, emphasized the hospital's role in improving maternal and child healthcare and strengthening overall healthcare delivery in the region.

The company has also announced additional projects, including an ICT center and vocational skill acquisition programs, to further support community development in Obajana and surrounding areas.
