Danjuma's Nephew Enters Taraba Guber Race with Promises

Dinshiya Usman, the nephew of former Minister of Defence T.Y. Danjuma, has officially joined the race for the Taraba State governorship, representing the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

His announcement took place on Wednesday in Jalingo, following consultations with various stakeholders, including traditional and political leaders. Usman pledged to unlock the economic potential of Taraba State, emphasizing the need for sustainable development and the improvement of living conditions for its residents.

He highlighted the state's rich agricultural land, abundant natural resources, and tourism potential, while acknowledging the challenges faced by the population, including unemployment and inadequate healthcare. Usman expressed his commitment to enhancing education, supporting teachers, and expanding access to technology for the youth.

Meanwhile, a faction of the PDP led by Nyesom Wike affirmed Emmanuel Bwacha as its governorship candidate during a ceremony in Jalingo, attended by political stakeholders and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
