Darey Art Alade Champions Nigeria's Creative Economy

Darey Art Alade is pushing for a vibrant creative economy in Nigeria, particularly through the Detti Decemb festival, which draws the Nigerian and African diaspora back home. His company, Livespot360, co-founded with his wife Deola, has been instrumental in revitalizing the entertainment scene, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic halted live events.

The festival, which featured international acts like Cardi B, attracted an estimated 60,000 attendees at Eko Atlantic City in Lagos. Alade emphasized the need for a structured entertainment industry that can withstand challenges, highlighting the fragility exposed by the pandemic.

Livespot360 has also ventured into television and launched the Livespot Entertarium, a permanent venue for entertainment in Lagos. Alade's trajectory extends beyond music, as he has developed partnerships with global brands like Amazon and Netflix, positioning Lagos as a world-class entertainment capital.
