Baba-Ahmed: Only God Can Stop Tinubu in 2027 Election

Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party (LP) vice-presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election, asserted that only God can stop President Bola Tinubu from winning the 2027 presidential election. In a television interview, Baba-Ahmed discussed the political landscape leading up to the elections, acknowledging Tinubu's 16 years of political organization and his role in forming alliances, particularly in bringing former President Muhammadu Buhari into an alliance before the 2015 elections.

Despite disagreeing with some of Tinubu's policies, Baba-Ahmed praised his political strategies and influence, stating that Tinubu has significantly weakened opposition parties' efforts to unite. He claimed that if Tinubu decides he will be declared President in 2027, only divine intervention could prevent it.

Baba-Ahmed, who was Peter Obi's running mate in the 2023 election, expressed skepticism about the capacity of Tinubu's opponents to advance Nigeria's progress.
