Abejide Accuses Mark of Hijacking ADC Leadership

Leke Abejide, a member of the House of Representatives representing Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi State, publicly criticized the leadership emergence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), alleging that prominent politician David Mark had hijacked the party. During an appearance on Channels Television's "Politics Today," Abejide expressed concerns about the lack of proper consultation with existing party members in the leadership process.

He emphasized that the appointment of Mark violated established rules and that he had not fulfilled the required time in the leadership position. Abejide dismissed suggestions that he was sidelining perceived sellouts within the state and pointed out that key figures reportedly involved in coalition discussions included Atiku Abubakar, Rotimi Amaechi, and Peter Obi.

His allegations reflect the deepening leadership crisis within the ADC, highlighting internal conflicts regarding party governance and representation.
