Davido Inducted into Black Music Walk of Fame 2026

Nigerian artist Davido has been inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame as part of the 2026 class, alongside Fela Kuti and Atlanta rap artist Ludacris. The induction ceremony is scheduled for June 1, 2026, at Atlanta's historic Westside along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Northside Drive, outside the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame is a joint initiative of the Black American Music Association and the Georgia Entertainment Caucus, established to honor individuals and organizations that have shaped Black culture nationally and internationally. The Walk of Fame was inaugurated in January 2021 and features bronze and gold plaques embedded along the sidewalk.

Davido's inclusion continues the recognition of African music's global imprint on Black culture. He has accumulated five billion streams and 1.2 billion video views in 2023, with his album "Timeless" earning three Grammy nominations.

The 2026 class also includes Ludacris, who has sold 24 million albums worldwide.
