Investigation Demands Rise After Death at Umahi's Home

Following a death at the home of David Umahi, calls for an investigation have surged, with notable figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar urging the Inspector General of Police to transfer the investigation from the Ebonyi State Police Command to the police headquarters. This request aims to guarantee transparency and maintain public confidence.

Atiku Abubakar also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to direct Umahi to temporarily step aside from his ministerial duties pending the outcome of the investigation, arguing that this would allow for an independent probe free from interference. Meanwhile, the burial of the deceased, Habila, which was scheduled for today, has been postponed indefinitely.

An obituary poster circulating online indicated that the burial was to take place at the Deeper Life Bible Church in Jaba Local Government Area, Kaduna State. However, family sources confirmed that the burial will no longer be held as scheduled, although no official reason for the postponement has been provided.
