Delta APC Denies Violence Claims During Congress

The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially refuted claims of violence against its member, Ibori-Suenu, during the recent local government congress held in the state. The party's statement, signed by state Public Secretary Valentin Onojeghuo, was made available to journalists in Asaba.

Onojeghuo insisted that the congress was conducted peacefully and in strict compliance with the party's constitutional guidelines, as approved by its national working committee. He noted that the process was monitored by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission, underscoring its transparency and credibility.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was mentioned as having fostered improved unity within the party. The APC congratulated the newly elected executives across the 25 local government areas and reaffirmed its commitment to a renewed hope agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging members to support the new executives and maintain party unity in preparation for future political engagements.
