Gunmen Attack Ibori Suenu at Delta APC Congress

On Saturday, during the APC congress in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, gunmen attacked Ibori Suenu, who is a member representing the Ethiope Federal Constituency and the daughter of former Delta State Governor James Ibori. The attack reportedly occurred shortly after a federal lawmaker arrived at the party venue.

Eyewitnesses disclosed that several individuals sustained injuries during the attack. The lawmaker's security detail confronted the armed assailants, who allegedly fired gunshots and wielded dangerous weapons in an attempt to prevent access to the venue.

However, the attack was ultimately foiled by Ibori Suenu's security team, ensuring her safety amid the chaos. Following the incident, the lawmaker appealed for APC supporters in the state to remain calm and avoid actions that could escalate tensions.
