Democracy Day: Nothing To Celebrate As Everything Is Crumbling – Kate Henshaw

Nigerian actress and activist Kate Henshaw expressed disappointment on Democracy Day, stating that there is nothing to celebrate as the country is crumbling. Henshaw highlighted that Nigeria's 26 years of uninterrupted democracy have not translated into tangible benefits for the majority of the population.

She criticized the government for being detached from the people and failing to address the needs of citizens across various sectors. Henshaw urged Nigerians to hold the government accountable and not remain silent in the face of injustice, inequality, and insecurity.

Despite the challenges, she emphasized the importance of maintaining hope for a better future and encouraged citizens to actively participate in building a stronger nation.
