Barau Jibrin Launches N100,000 Grant for Kano Traders

Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has announced a monthly grant of N100,000 for 1,300 petty traders and other beneficiaries in Kano North, reaffirming his commitment to economic empowerment. This announcement was made during a meeting in Abuja with delegations from Dambatta Local Government Area, which included ward representatives led by former lawmaker Hon. Hafiz Sani Maidaji and Alhaji Abdullahi Dan Bayero, Barau’s Senior Legislative Aide.

The Senator's initiatives have already provided beneficiaries with various support items such as fertilizers, water pumps, grinding machines, sewing machines, motorcycles, and refrigerators. Barau emphasized his focus on achieving economic independence for households in Kano North through sustained support in agriculture, education, infrastructure, and small businesses.

He urged the community to maintain unity and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections, stating that collective commitment is essential for a prosperous Kano North and Nigeria.
