Over 100 Akara Sellers Empowered in Osun State Initiative

Over 100 akara sellers from Ayedire Local Government Area in Osun State received cash support of N10,000 each from Mr. Alli Ibraheem, Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibril.

The empowerment event took place at the Ayedire Local Government Secretariat in Ileogbo, with beneficiaries from Ileogbo, Oluponna, Kuta, and Oke-Osun areas. Hon.

Adejare Adigun, Chairman of Ayedire LGA, attended the event and emphasized the non-political nature of the support, urging beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely for their businesses. Ibraheem stated that the initiative aims to strengthen the financial status of petty traders, particularly akara sellers, while also mobilizing support for the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the August 16, 2026 election.

He expressed confidence in AMBO's victory and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for promoting local government autonomy. The empowerment scheme is set to expand to the Iwo Federal Constituency and Osun West Senatorial District.
