Diaspora Group Endorses Obanikoro for Hamzat's Campaign

The Lagos State diaspora group has officially endorsed Musiliu Obanikoro as the Director General for Obafemi Hamzat's campaign in the upcoming 2027 governorship election. The group, which includes Lagosians residing in the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East, described Obanikoro's appointment as a strategic move to enhance grassroots mobilization and strengthen the political structure ahead of the elections.

The statement was issued by Ayodeji Tinubu, who emphasized Obanikoro's extensive political experience and deep understanding of Lagos politics as fitting for the role. The group expressed confidence that Obanikoro would provide the necessary leadership to coordinate an effective campaign.

They believe his ability to build consensus and manage diverse political interests will bolster support for Hamzat within the Progressive Congress.
