Diaspora Group Critiques Ebonyi's Infrastructure Quality

The African Economic and Investment Summit for Community and International Development (AEISCID), led by President Worldwide Ambassador Paschal Oluchukwu, condemned the substandard infrastructure projects in Ebonyi State. This follows a viral video of Senator Nwebonyi inspecting a two-span bridge and highlighting its structural defects.

AEISCID expressed concerns about the quality of public works, alleging that many road projects have been abandoned or poorly executed. They cited the prolonged construction of the Vanco flyover tunnel, which has remained incomplete for nearly three years.

The group criticized Governor Nwifuru's administration, claiming it has become a "huge construction joke" and accused the government of awarding multimillion-naira contracts through single-source bidding to questionable companies. AEISCID also referenced a contract worth over N6.2 billion linked to the governor's wife, which has not been officially refuted.

They called for the enforcement of the Ebonyi State Fiscal Responsibility Act against contractors and public officials violating procurement rules and urged the Ebonyi State House of Assembly to investigate these breaches.
