Group Criticizes Ebonyi Governor for Blaming Wike

The pro-democracy group, Ebonyi Citizen Change, has publicly admonished Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru for attributing his political failures to Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister. The group described Nwifuru's comments as unwarranted and immature, suggesting that they amounted to a call for violence against Wike.

They emphasized that Wike is not from Ebonyi State and should not be blamed for Nwifuru's lack of performance. The group pointed out that Nwifuru has received 500 billion naira for development in Ebonyi but has failed to manifest any significant progress.

They warned that Nwifuru's panic over the upcoming 2027 general elections is leading him to scapegoat Wike, as he fears losing the election. The group concluded that instead of blaming Wike, Nwifuru should take responsibility for his governance failures.
