Diaspora Group Backs Adeola for Ogun Governorship

The Yayi Diaspora Support Group has initiated efforts to support Solomon Olamilekan Adeola in his bid for the Ogun State governorship. This was announced following a virtual strategy meeting held on March 14, 2026, which aimed to enhance international engagement and expand campaign visibility.

The group plans to align diaspora efforts with grassroots political activities in Ogun State, highlighting the importance of mobilizing support through media platforms to bridge overseas support with local voter engagement. They confirmed that a formal letter of support has been delivered, acknowledging Adeola's campaign signals.

The group, coordinated by Ademola Adejobi, Adegboyega Salau, Oluwaseyi Odeyemi, and Adeboy Adejobi, also expressed their intention to host a series of engagements in North America, including town hall meetings and stakeholder dinners. Importantly, they clarified their disassociation from recent public allegations of attacks against politicians in Ogun State, emphasizing their commitment to constructive engagement and respect for democratic processes.
