Diri Lauds Deputy Governor Akpe's Humility and Capacity

On Sunday, Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri praised his Deputy Governor Dr Peter Akpe during a grand reception held in Akpe's honor by the Ebedebiri community in Sagbama Local Government Area. Diri described Akpe as a "round peg in a round hole," affirming that he made no mistake in choosing him as his deputy.

The governor noted the large turnout at the event as a demonstration of love and acceptance from the community. He commended Akpe for his humility, capacity, and loyalty, emphasizing that his appointment was guided by God.

In response, Dr Peter Akpe expressed gratitude to Diri and the community for their support, stating that he has learned valuable lessons while serving as deputy governor. Dr Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, also praised Akpe's performance and experience in governance, highlighting his previous roles in the state.
