DLA Chair Samuel Memeh Addresses Political Instability

Samuel Memeh, the national chairman of the newly registered Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), spoke in Osogbo during a visit to the Osun State chapter of the party on Tuesday. He identified government intolerance and deviations from constitutional mandates as key factors contributing to instability among political parties in Nigeria.

Memeh emphasized that the DLA aims to operate in accordance with constitutional guidelines and seeks to provide a credible alternative for Nigerians through competent leadership, integrity, and accountability. He stated, “Our mission is therefore to develop leaders who possess the competence, character and courage to transform our nation.” Regarding the upcoming Osun governorship election, Memeh confirmed that the DLA would not field a candidate but would decide on support for a candidate at a later time.

Tosin Odeyemi, the acting chairman of the DLA in Osun State, expressed the party's commitment to building its structures across the state. Odeyemi previously served as the Osun State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party before resigning on July 16.
