Dronetecx Shapes Nigeria's UAS Policy Framework

Fortun Idu, chairman of FCI Intern, reported that Dronetecx has played a crucial role in shaping the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) policy framework in Nigeria. This development aims to improve and redefine the operations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, which are increasingly utilized for aerial photography, infrastructure inspection, agricultural monitoring, and military missions.

Idu noted that Dronetecx's annual conference has significantly influenced this policy framework, leading to the immediate launch of the first edition of a regulatory program. He emphasized the substantial impact of a massive campaign on the sector, describing the initiative as a pivotal moment despite being a new venture.

Idu acknowledged that while the terrain may remain passive for a long time, the actions taken will support and propel research and development in the industry, ultimately transforming the landscape of drone usage in Nigeria.
