DSS Awards N5m Compensation to Man Wrongfully Arrested for IPOB Membership

This follows a trend under the new DSS leadership, with previous cases involving three young men and an Igbo businesswoman who were also compensated for wrongful arrests.

The DSS Director-General ordered the release and compensation, emphasizing compliance with the rule of law and due process. The incident occurred in Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, and the compensation was part of efforts to ensure justice and adherence to service procedures.
