Duplantis breaks pole vault world record for 13th time

Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis has broken the world record for the 13th time, clearing the bar at one centimeter higher than his previous record in Budapest. The double Olympic and world champion first broke the record previously held by Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie in February 2020.

Duplantis achieved this feat at the Stockholm Diamond League meeting. He will be competing in the Silesia Diamond League in Poland on Saturday, where he also broke the world record last year.

Duplantis' consistent improvement and dominance in the pole vault event have solidified his position as one of the greatest athletes in the sport.
