Onanuga Slams ARISE TV Anchor Over Debt Accusations

Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to the President on information strategy, criticized ARISE TV anchor Rufai Oseni for accusing President Tinubu of masterminding Nigeria's rising debt profile. Onanuga labeled Oseni as "economically illiterate" and defended the government's borrowing, stating it does not breach any limits.

Meanwhile, the Federal Inland Revenue Service Chairman, Adedeji, emphasized that debt is a legitimate means to sustain a nation's budget, with revenue, loans, and expenditure being the core components. The government's debt profile was defended as necessary for budget funding and within approved limits set by the National Assembly.
