Edo State Government Establishes Lottery and Ecological Commissions for Governance and Revenue Boost

The Edo State Government has established the Edo State Lottery Regulatory Commission and the Ecological Funding Management Commission to enhance governance, boost revenue, and protect the environment. The Lottery Commission will regulate gaming activities, ensure transparency, accountability, and fair play, and generate revenue through licensing and regulation.

The Ecological Commission will provide legal and institutional support for environmental protection. Governor Ikhilor has appointed pioneer boards for both commissions, with nominees awaiting confirmation by the Edo State House Assembly.

These initiatives aim to strengthen governance structures and promote sustainable revenue generation while safeguarding the environment in Edo State.
