Edo Spiritualist Arrested for Sextortion Scheme

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Odigie Moses, a self-acclaimed spiritualist based in Edo State, for allegedly engaging in sextortion. Moses reportedly blackmailed an Indian woman by threatening to release a nude video of her, which he recorded without her permission during a supposed spiritual intervention.

The victim, seeking help for life-threatening challenges, was deceived into taking a naked spiritual bath, which Moses recorded live. He demanded $1,100 (approximately N1.5 million) to prevent the release of the video.

The EFCC's investigation revealed that the victim paid the demanded amount to Moses. Following the conclusion of investigations, he is expected to be charged in court.
