The commission emphasized that it does not endorse or approve any media content that uses its identity without written consent.

This warning was communicated through a video message shared on its X page on Saturday. The EFCC highlighted concerns regarding the rise of impersonation cases, where individuals pose as EFCC officers to commit fraud, tarnishing the agency's image.

The commission stated that any violation of this directive will lead to prosecution. The public is advised to comply immediately with the instructions to avoid legal repercussions.
