Diri Urges Reflection on Prophet Muhammad's Teachings

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, issued a statement on Tuesday, urging Muslim faithful to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad during the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud. In his Eid-el-Maulud greetings, conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah, Diri emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and peace.

He described the Feast of Eid-el-Maulud as a celebration of love and sacrifice, encouraging Muslims to demonstrate practical love, be their brothers’ keepers, and promote peaceful coexistence. Diri stated, “As Muslims across the world mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad, it is a time to reflect on his ideals and teachings on love, unity, compassion and peace.” He extended his felicitations to Muslims in Bayelsa State and across Nigeria, wishing them greater prosperity and joy during this celebration, concluding with the traditional greeting, “Barka da Sallah!”.
