FG Opens Recruitment for Northern Nigeria Agric Programme

The Federal Government of Nigeria has opened applications for the recruitment of 18 key officers for the National Programme Management Unit of the Value Chain for Northern Nigeria Programme, as announced by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security on Monday. This initiative, supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the French Development Agency, aims to improve incomes, food security, and climate resilience among smallholder farmers in nine Northern states: Sokoto, Kebbi, Jigawa, Zamfara, Borno, Katsina, Yobe, Bauchi, and Kano.

The positions available include National Programme Coordinator, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, and various other specialists in agriculture, finance, and procurement. Applicants must possess a minimum of a master’s degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience.

Successful candidates will receive two-year renewable contracts and will be based in Abuja, with regular travel to the participating states. Applications must be submitted by September 6, 2026, at 12 noon, and must include 10 copies of the Expression of Interest.
