Yobe Police Arrest Eight for Theft and Violence

The Yobe State Police Command arrested eight suspects involved in theft and violent assaults during separate operations across the state. Dungu Abdulkarim, the police public relations officer, disclosed that the operations were part of ongoing efforts to tackle criminal activities.

One operation led to the recovery of stolen items, including motorcycles and building materials intended for the renovation of Daskum Primary School in Bursari Local Government Area. A 25-year-old suspect, Musa Musa, was apprehended while transporting the stolen materials along Gashua Road.

Additionally, two suspects, Adam Maigaimu (20) and Moham Umar (18), were arrested following a violent clash that resulted in serious injuries to a victim. In a separate operation in Nguru, five suspects were arrested at a criminal hideout.

Meanwhile, in Abia State, two suspects, Emmanuel Ogonna (23) and Ifeanychukwu Oko (25), were arrested for vandalizing and stealing government property along Umuahia-Uzuakoli Road.
