Yobe Police Rescue Four Female Kidnap Victims Unharmed

On June 28, 2026, the Yobe State Police Command successfully rescued four female kidnapping victims in Fika Local Government Area. The victims, aged between 15 and 17, were abducted by unidentified gunmen in Didim Village.

Following a distress call received at the Fika Division Police Headquarters, the police, led by Dungu Abdulkarim, the Police Public Relations Officer, swiftly mobilized a rescue operation in collaboration with local vigilantes. The operation was executed in the Kukar Gadu area, resulting in the successful rescue of the victims, who were found unharmed.

They were subsequently taken to Kukar Gadu Primary Health Care Centre for medical examination and support before being reunited with their families. The command, under the direction of Commissioner of Police Usman Kafani Jibrin, is intensifying efforts to apprehend the fleeing members of the criminal syndicate responsible for the attack and has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
